Purpose: This module provides an overview of the UW-Madison undergraduate nursing curriculum. It also addresses the tasks, responsibilities, and expectations of the student and the preceptor for Nursing 419, Community Health Nursing Practicum.

Objectives:
  1. Understand key aspects of the undergraduate education program of the UW-Madison School of Nursing
  2. Understand the expectations of the UW-Madison School of Nursing for the community health clinical course
  3. Describe the importance of orientation to the agency for the undergraduate student
  4. Compare the outcomes of the pre-conference meeting to the post- conference meeting
  5. Describe the process of journaling
  6. Understand the desired outcomes for student projects
