Purpose: This module poses key questions that clinical nurses should ask before becoming a preceptor for nursing students.

Objectives:
  1. Understand the importance of knowing course expectations for nursing students in the clinical course
  2. Understand issues related to legal liability for student conduct in clinical settings
  3. Understand policies and procedures for student compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  4. Understand procedures for responding to student injuries

    • Windows XP or 2000 with Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1.x, or higher
