Further, you will be assisted in identifying teaching/learning strategies to help students advance their level of professional practice. Finally, you will learn the skills of clinical thinking, and how to develop those skills in students.
Objectives: Upon completion of this module, the participant will be able to:
- Identify differences between novice, advanced beginner, competent, proficient, and expert levels of practice.
- Describe the four components of clinical grasp.
- Describe clinical forethought.
- Identify ways to help nursing students develop the skills of clinical thinking.
- Discuss strategies to help students prioritize their nursing care.
