Purpose: This module is designed to increase nurse preceptor knowledge and skills for promoting nursing student competency in interdisciplinary practice.

Objectives:

By the end of this module, preceptors will:

  1. Identify key components of effective interdisciplinary health professions practice
  2. List competencies for interdisciplinary health professions practice
  3. Appreciate the importance of the preceptor role in promoting interdisciplinary practice
  4. Identify strategies to promote student learning of interdisciplinary practice skills in the practice setting
