Purpose: A successful learning partnership has many components. This module focuses on engaging in meaningful feedback and evaluating student performance in the clinical setting. Essentially, a preceptorship is a professional relationship that begins with an orientation and ends with an evaluation.

Objectives:
  1. Identify strategies for providing effective feedback
  2. Identify opportunities for providing feedback associated with clinical activities
  3. Assess student performance using practicum evaluation criteria


Computer Requirements:
  • Operating system and web browser:
    • Windows XP or 2000 with Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1.x, or higher
      OR
    • Macintosh OS 10.3.x with Safari 1.x or Firefox 1.x, or higher
  • Adobe Reader 6, or higher
  • Flash Player 8, or higher
